Introduction
Tokiy Shrine is a hidden Shrine of Light inside Oakle’s Navel Cave, a cave in the Necluda area of Hyrule. Unlike a conventional shrine, Tokiy Shrine contains no internal puzzle or combat trial. Its challenge takes place outside the shrine, where Link must carry a green crystal through a boulder-filled section of the cave. The shrine becomes accessible only after completing The Oakle’s Navel Cave Crystal Shrine Quest.
The shrine’s trial is named Rauru’s Blessing. Once Link reaches the shrine, the reward is immediate: a chest containing a Large Zonai Charge, followed by the shrine’s Light of Blessing.
Note
Oakle’s Navel Cave is inland from the Necluda coast, north of Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower and near Mount Rozudo.
Oakle’s Navel Cave
Tokiy Shrine is located wholly within Oakle’s Navel Cave. The cave is entered from the surface beside Oakle’s Navel, a small body of water in the hills north of the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. Several guides describe the surrounding area differently, variously assigning it to East Necluda, West Necluda or the wider Lanayru region. For practical navigation, the most useful description is:
The shrine itself is not a separate outdoor landmark. The visible shrine structure is reached only after the crystal quest has been started and completed.
Included areas
This guide treats the following as part of the Tokiy Shrine location:
It does not treat the whole surrounding Necluda countryside, Mount Rozudo, Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower or nearby settlements as subareas of the shrine. They are approach landmarks only.

Recommended route
The most straightforward approach is from Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower.
The cave entrance is large enough to find without special equipment, although the surrounding slopes and rock walls can make it less obvious when approached from the wrong direction.
Useful preparations
No special quest, armour set or story progression is required by the cited walkthroughs. However, the following make the route more comfortable:
The cave contains Shock Likes, so equipment or tactics that reduce the risk of electric damage can help. Cave materials reported in the area include Bomb Flowers, Brightcaps and Sticky Lizards.
---
The shrine is unlocked through the Shrine Quest The Oakle’s Navel Cave Crystal.
Recommended route: steps
- 01Travel north from Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower.
- 02Look for Oakle’s Navel, a small lake surrounded by hilly terrain.
- 03Search around the lake’s southern or south-eastern side for the cave entrance.
- 04Enter Oakle’s Navel Cave and follow the initial passage underground.
Starting the Shrine Quest
Proceed through the first section of Oakle’s Navel Cave. Eventually, Link reaches a chamber containing a green shrine crystal. Examining it starts the quest and opens the route beyond the crystal chamber. The objective is to carry the crystal to the Shrine of Light indicated by its beam.
Quest directory
The crystal is not an ordinary loose item. Link must transport it through the cave rather than simply walking to the shrine and activating it separately.
---
1. Enter the cave and reach the crystal chamber
Enter Oakle’s Navel Cave and follow its main passage. Deal with or avoid the Shock Like if necessary. Continue until you reach the green crystal on its pedestal.
Interact with the crystal to begin The Oakle’s Navel Cave Crystal. Once the quest starts, the route beyond the chamber becomes available.
2. Pick up the crystal and follow its beam
Lift the crystal and move in the direction indicated by its green beam. The route leads into a larger cavern where boulders fall and roll down the passage.
The crystal is cumbersome, so avoid sprinting blindly. Watch the slope ahead and move between boulder cycles. If a boulder is approaching, step into a recess or wait until the path is clear.
3. Pass the rolling boulders
The safest general method is to let the boulders travel past before advancing. The cave’s terrain provides enough warning to make patient movement practical.
If Link is struck, the crystal may be knocked away or repositioned, but the quest is not normally lost. Retrieve it and continue following the beam.
4. Use Recall on the large boulder
At a particularly awkward point, a large boulder blocks or complicates the route. Use Recall on it to reverse its movement and create a safe opening.
This is more reliable than trying to force the crystal around the boulder while exposed to the rolling path. Some guides also mention using Ultrahand-related manipulation to manage obstacles, but Recall is the clearest solution for the moving boulder described in the walkthroughs.
5. Deliver the crystal
Continue carrying the crystal along the beam until you reach the shrine’s destination. Place or drop the crystal at the indicated point.
Tokiy Shrine then becomes accessible. Enter it to begin the short Rauru’s Blessing sequence.
---
Tokiy Shrine is deliberately brief. The external cave route is the actual challenge.
Shrine interior
Inside the shrine, Link enters a simple chamber with a direct path. There are no combat encounters, environmental puzzles or moving mechanisms to solve.
Follow the path forward to find the shrine chest.
Chest reward
The Large Zonai Charge is a consumable Zonai energy item. It is useful for powering Zonai devices for a longer period than a standard Zonai Charge.
After collecting the chest, continue to the altar at the end of the shrine.
Completing the shrine
This completes Tokiy Shrine. The blessing is the standard shrine reward and counts towards Link’s total Shrine of Light progress.

Bubbulfrog and Bubbul Gem
Oakle’s Navel Cave contains one Bubbulfrog. It is not on the direct shrine route and is easy to miss while concentrating on the crystal.
After reaching the shrine area, continue exploring the cavern around the boulder route. The Bubbulfrog is found in a small side chamber near a puddle, at approximately 2408, -2337, -0040, though map references differ slightly in the final digits.
The Bubbul Gem is a collectible used in the wider Bubbul Gem exchange system associated with Koltin. It is separate from the Tokiy Shrine’s Large Zonai Charge and Light of Blessing.
Cave materials and enemies
The cave has also been documented as containing the following ordinary cave content:
Materials
These are cave contents rather than shrine rewards. Enemy drops and material availability should be treated separately from the fixed shrine chest.
---
---
Materials: For a complete visit, use this order
- 01Travel north from Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower.
- 02Find Oakle’s Navel.
- 03Enter Oakle’s Navel Cave.
- 04Explore the opening passage for materials and deal with the Shock Like.
- 05Find and examine the green crystal.
- 06Start The Oakle’s Navel Cave Crystal.
- 07Carry the crystal through the boulder passage.
- 08Use Recall on the troublesome rolling boulder.
- 09Deliver the crystal to reveal Tokiy Shrine.
- 10Enter the shrine.
- 11Open the chest for the Large Zonai Charge.
- 12Claim the Light of Blessing.
- 13Return to the cave route and search the side chamber for the Bubbulfrog.
- 14Defeat the Bubbulfrog and collect its Bubbul Gem.
Rolling boulders
The main hazard is the repeated flow of falling and rolling boulders. They can damage Link and interrupt crystal transport.
Best practice: carry the crystal only after observing one or two boulder cycles. Move during the quiet interval rather than trying to outrun an incoming boulder.
Electric enemy
A Shock Like can be encountered in the cave’s earlier section. Keep your distance, attack when its exposed body is vulnerable and avoid standing in any electrical discharge.
Lighting
The cave is dark in places. Brightbloom Seeds are useful, but do not throw them so far ahead that the crystal beam becomes difficult to read. The green beam is the key navigation aid during the quest.
Crystal handling
If Link drops the crystal, do not assume the route has reset. Pick it up again and check the beam. The objective remains the same: follow the crystal’s indicated destination.
---
Tokiy Shrine does not have a known permanent missability trigger in the base game. The shrine can be completed whenever Link can reach Oakle’s Navel Cave and use the required abilities.
The shrine itself does not require completion of a regional phenomenon or main-story dungeon according to the available walkthrough evidence. The requirement is the local crystal quest.
---
Tokiy Shrine is a Tears of the Kingdom Shrine of Light. It should not be confused with Qaza Tokki Shrine, the differently named shrine from Breath of the Wild. Qaza Tokki Shrine is associated with the North Lomei Labyrinth and has a separate location, reward and challenge structure.
Tokiy Shrine also has a Depths counterpart listed as Yikot Lightroot in shrine databases. This is a map relationship rather than a second shrine or an additional objective inside Oakle’s Navel Cave.
Related locations
Only Oakle’s Navel Cave and Tokiy Shrine are part of the immediate location covered by this guide.

The important progression distinction is
| Name | Details |
|---|---|
| Before starting the crystal quest | the shrine route is not available in its complete form. |
| After starting the quest | the cave route opens and the crystal can be carried through the boulder section. |
| After delivering the crystal | Tokiy Shrine is accessible. |
| After completing the shrine | the chest and Light of Blessing are collected, while the Bubbulfrog remains available if it has not yet been defeated. |
