Key takeaways
- Ga-ahisas Shrine is not immediately visible as an accessible shrine The Lightcast Island mirror puzzle must be completed first.
- The shrine is located inside or beneath Lightcast Island, not in the neighbouring North Tabantha Sky Archipelago as a separate island location.
- Its interior is a Rauru’s Blessing reward room rather than a conventional puzzle shrine.
- The shrine chest contains a Star Fragment.
- The associated Lightcast Island route contains the Zonaite Helm, but this is outside the shrine proper.
- The most reliable approach is through the Tabantha sky islands, using waterfalls, minecarts, launch devices and an aircraft or similar Zonai construction.

Overview
Ga-ahisas Shrine is a hidden Shrine of Light beneath Lightcast Island, a high sky island in the Tabantha Frontier Sky region. The shrine itself is a short Rauru’s Blessing chamber with no internal puzzle or combat trial. Its real challenge is reaching and revealing it.
To unlock Ga-ahisas Shrine, Link must activate Lightcast Island’s terminal, drain the water from the island’s central basin, and redirect a beam of light through a sequence of mirrors. The final light beam opens the sealed shrine entrance. The route also contains a combat encounter, a chest containing the Zonaite Helm, and several Zonai devices that can be used while exploring the island.

Location and boundaries
Ga-ahisas Shrine
Ga-ahisas Shrine is the shrine chamber itself, reached after the Lightcast Island mechanism has been solved. It contains a short central path, a stone treasure chest and the Rauru and Sonia statue that grants the Light of Blessing.
Lightcast Island
Lightcast Island is the wider puzzle area surrounding the shrine. It includes:
These locations are part of the shrine’s access route but should not be confused with the shrine interior itself.
Neighbouring sky areas
Lightcast Island is part of the broader Tabantha sky region. The route to it may pass through other sky islands and archipelago sections, but those neighbouring areas are not part of Ga-ahisas Shrine. In particular, the North Tabantha Sky Archipelago is an approach area rather than a second name for Lightcast Island.

How to reach Lightcast Island
The exact route can vary depending on which Skyview Towers, shrines and Zonai devices the player has already unlocked. A practical approach is:
Recommended preparation

How to reach Lightcast Island: steps
- 01Travel to the sky near Tabantha Frontier. The area is south-east of Rito Village and can be approached from the Tabantha side of the map.
How to reach Lightcast Island: steps
- 01Use a Skyview Tower or nearby launch point to gain altitude. Players commonly use the Gerudo Highlands or Lindor’s Brow area to begin the journey, then glide towards the Tabantha sky islands.
How to reach Lightcast Island: steps
- 01Use the sky-island infrastructure. The route includes minecart travel, launch devices and platforms. A spring, rocket platform or other Zonai construction can help overcome gaps between islands.
How to reach Lightcast Island: steps
- 01Use waterfalls where available. The Zora Armor allows Link to swim up waterfalls and is particularly useful for reaching some of the higher sky islands on the approach. It is not a shrine-specific key item, but it makes the journey substantially easier.
How to reach Lightcast Island: steps
- 01Reach Lightcast Island and activate the terminal. The terminal is located towards the north-west of the island. Activating it drains the water from the central basin and exposes the route into the cave below.

Lightcast Island walkthrough
1. Activate the island terminal
Find the green Zonai terminal on the north-western part of Lightcast Island and interact with it. The island’s central pool drains, revealing the cave entrance below.
The terminal is the trigger for the puzzle sequence. Reaching the shrine’s apparent location without activating it does not bypass the island’s unlocking process. The shrine becomes accessible only after the light puzzle has been completed.
2. Enter the central cave
Go towards the centre of the island and enter the newly exposed cave. Rocks block part of the passage. Break them with a fused weapon, Bomb Flower or another suitable method.
A Construct may be encountered near the entrance. Defeat it or move past it carefully before beginning the mirror work.
3. Redirect the light
The cave contains mirrors that must be positioned so the light beam travels through the cave. The general sequence is:
The puzzle is based on reflecting the beam rather than powering a conventional device. Ultrahand is the key tool for moving the portable mirror. One practical technique is to place the mirror where it can catch the beam, then adjust its angle while watching the reflected light rather than trying to estimate the alignment from a distance.
4. Defeat the inner Construct
At the end of the mirror route, Link reaches an inner chamber containing a hostile Construct. Defeat it to obtain access to the final mirror needed for the seal.
The Construct is part of the Lightcast Island access puzzle, not a boss inside Ga-ahisas Shrine.
5. Open the shrine entrance
Use the final mirror to direct the light onto the orange, light-sensitive hexagonal seal. When the beam reaches it, the mechanism activates and the shrine entrance is revealed. A stairway leads down to Ga-ahisas Shrine.
---
3. Redirect the light
- 01Take or manipulate a mirror near the beginning of the cave.
- 02Use it to redirect the beam to the next mirror.
- 03Continue the chain through the cave.
- 04Carry or reposition a mirror where the fixed mirrors do not provide the required angle.
- 05Direct the beam towards the eastern and southern sections of the cave.
- 06Continue into the inner chamber.
Associated chest: Zonaite Helm
The Zonaite Helm is found on the Lightcast Island route, above the area where the orange seal is activated. It is not the chest inside Ga-ahisas Shrine.
This distinction matters when checking shrine completion. The Zonaite Helm belongs to the surrounding island puzzle area, while the Star Fragment belongs to the shrine chamber.
---
After activating the seal
- 01Look above the orange light-sensitive mechanism.
- 02Use Ascend from the platform or suitable surface below.
- 03Reach the raised ledge.
- 04Open the chest to obtain the Zonaite Helm.
Shrine interior walkthrough
Ga-ahisas Shrine is a Rauru’s Blessing shrine. There is no internal combat challenge, environmental puzzle or device construction section.
The Light of Blessing can later be exchanged in groups of four at a Goddess Statue for either a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel.

Enemies and hazards
Enemies
No enemy or boss is present in the Rauru’s Blessing chamber itself.
Environmental hazards
The shrine route is more dangerous before the shrine is unlocked than after it is revealed. Once activated, Ga-ahisas Shrine provides a fast-travel point, making later returns to Lightcast Island much easier.

Lore and design notes
Ga-ahisas Shrine follows the common Tears of the Kingdom pattern in which a difficult overworld challenge leads to a blessing shrine. The shrine interior is intentionally simple because the real trial is the journey through Lightcast Island and the manipulation of reflected light.
The Rauru and Sonia statue at the shrine’s end also reflects the game’s recurring presentation of Shrines of Light as places where Link receives spiritual purification and a Light of Blessing after overcoming an external test.
